He has Canine Pattern Baldness! haha

(He has literally NO hair on his chest and belly, and very little around his neck. I was concerned since we're moving back to AK later this year!)

Now both of the men in my life are going bald...DH & Dodger balding together!

Yup. She even showed me a text book with a section on it. And all of the example pictures were of daschunds (which is exactly what Dodger is). I laughed out loud. She said it was genetic, but I'd never heard of anything like it before. (And she used chiuauas as another example)

Wow...never heard of that. Usually in the winter, especially up here, dogs have a melatonin(sp) deficiency and that causes the hair loss. But if it was in a text book, IDK...just sounds weird.

I agree. It does sound odd.

But now he's my little balding boy!

Just don't get him dog hairclub for doggies!!

And none of that spray on hair!!

I think it's funny! How cute! Just be very supportive of him and don't treat him any differently. Don't want him to have a complex!! J/K

    haha

He's definitely getting a nice new coat for Alaska though! And maybe a cute sweater! (I was never about buying my dog clothes, but I feel bad when he's in the snow and cold! He needs something!)
