    Question s/o microchipping pets

    Advertisements
How the heck does one update the contact info?!?

I don't think we've updated our cat's contact info since we had her microchipped almost 5 years ago. And we've moved like 5 time since then...LOL!

    TIA!

Where did you go to register her online? Do you remember the name?
I know if I need to update our info that's where I have to go.

we didn't register gwen online. but the tag that came with her microchip had a website on it. and you go to the site that's your chip brand and enter in their id number, or something. and go from there.

buddy's been mircochipped for 4 years now, but we never put any info on it. but i still have his tag. so i gotta go online and do it.

You should have gotten company info on who the chip was through. Or if you did it at the vet, you should be able to go there to get the info. I know the humane society in SD gave me this brochure thing and I had to go online and update all the info from them to me.

When I got Macies chip I was given an online registration form....I guess you could call the vet/shelter/wherever that did it and ask? That's probably your best bet because there IS a way to update. Good luck!

Damn...why can I not remember this??

Do you still have your paperwork?

It cost me $12 to update my dogs info, and I did it online, but I cannot for the life of me remember where.

I do have the paperwork...somewhere! I suppose I can always call the military vet where she got the microchip inserted.

    Thanks ladies!!!

Call them and just ask them for the contact information. They won't be able to change the information for you, but they'll have the phone number to the company that supplied the microchips.

I'm pretty sure (this is how it was in TX, not sure if it's nationwide) that Animal Control gets the microchips and gives them to the vets, so Animal Control might have the information as well.

You can also take her to the vet and just have her scanned, it should pop up with the chip manufacturer and you can go from there.
