    Micro Chipping pets

    Advertisements
Ok I know others have talked about this on here but today we decided to micro chip Fuzzles. I called the vet and they said it will cost $40 to do it with them and $14 to register it online or something like that. Is that too much? Should I find somewhere else that's cheaper because $40 does seem like a lot. I'm not sure what other vet to go to since that's the only one she's ever been to. I don't want to be overcharged for it.

military is usually free to register. we got ours done on base and it only cost 15 at the time and no reg fee.

here at the local vet it only cost 20 and they register for you.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

I did our kittens at a non profit organization in town. I think I paid $25 each and didn't have to pay anything to register them online. Vets are normally more expensive.

Wow yeah I need to find another place then because $40 is crazy. I'm still not sure if we're moving to San Diego or not but if we do do they have a place on base that does it there? If there is one we might just wait to get it done till after we move.

I don't know here but I know I was at Mayport one day and had to stop at the vet and asked them about a procedure and they said they only did shots, but I'm not sure, she sounded more like she didn't want to deal with a kitten cause it was feral. Anyway, I would give them a call and find out and probably get it done as soon as possible.

Well we don't know if we're moving or not. I called another place over here and it would cost me $47 to do it there. I don't know other places that do it I'll have to call around I just hate paying $40 to do it. She never goes outside and she's scared even when we carry her out there. I think she'll be fine for now but I'll still get it done. I'll call around though and find a cheaper place.

I tried calling one animal shelter and they told me to call local vets.

I don't think our base even has a vet over here lol it's so tiny.

Hmmm nevermind I looked it up and it seems like they have something that happens once a month where they will do that. I'll have to call after 1 to see what they say.
