Do you always take a leash with you when you take your dog in the car? Even if you have no plans to let the dog out of the car.

I always take a leash with me if the dog is in the car. I might be just dropping the kids off at school and going right back home but I still take it with. John thinks I'm silly for insisting there is a leash in the car any time the dog goes anywhere. I don't think its silly. What if something happens and I need to get her out? I can't have her roaming around.

Yes. I've forgotten a few times, when they are just along for the ride, and been annoyed with myself for it. I think it's important to always have one with you if the dog is with you too.

    definitely.

I always always take a leash. We also have a little doggy kit in the trunk with some food and a little water bottle. I usually have his little bag and badge in there too (he's a service dog). It's not silly! What if you break down or get in an accident? It's better to be prepared!

Though mine has his on even in the car since I loop it around the seat back so that he sits in the seat and doesn't wander all over the car and annoy us.

But I think you are completely right. You should be prepared for the unexpected! I would hate to have an emergancy and not be able to keep him safe.

Great idea sweety! I have one for us in case we get stuck somewhere, and a first aid kit. I'm totally going to put something together for the dog! Thanks!!

Absolutely because Ida is actually on a tie down in the back of my H3 when we go places so she is not a flying object if we get into an accident.
