Blush This is really gross, but...

Our dog gets in the cat box and eats her

Her box is kept in an empty closet, so we leave the door open for her to use it. And any time the dog thinks we aren't looking, he'll go in there and chow down.

Anyone know how to stop him from doing this? We get it away from him and tell him no whenever we see him do it, but most of the time we don't notice until he's already swallowed it.

I thought about getting one of those snap on lids for it, but our dog is big and stupid and I'm worried he would get his head stuck in it and make a mess.

my yorkie eats his own poop. i heard its something about not knowing the difference between poop and food but i dunno if thats true. in any case, maybe you can try one of those ones that automatically scoops the poop as soon as they go?

I wish I could lol but my oldest dog would just jump over it. I just keep the door closed right now...sometimes I forget though and they get in there.
