    eating poo question

    Advertisements
i was over being nosey at the neighbors house the other night so anyway she told me that she called animal control and had her dog put to sleep because it was eating it's own poo. isn't this kinda normal for dogs to do sometimes? she didn't have the dog for a long period of time. she said she was still trying to crate train the dog and that he would poo in his crate then eat it.

Must not have had to much attachment to the dog if she had it put down for a reason like that. I don't think dogs normally eat their own but maybe he was hungry

Oh my dogs back home did that all the time and my sisters dogs do that too. Sure it's gross but not worth putting them down for that's stupid. Poor thing.

See I don't think she should have done it either. I don't talk to her much so I don't know the full story but I think she was just being lazy and didn't want to deal with the dog at all anymore stupid people.

Dogs will eat poo if they aren't getting the right nutrients in their food. And then there are dogs like mine that eat cat poo because I don't feed her until she explodes (She's a beagle) The vet told me its tottaly normal especially if you have a dog that grazes.

SHe was a stupid woman and if animal control put it down for that reason, they are stupid too....

I think its completely normal for dogs to do that!! I had a german shepard that liked to go to the kitty litter and take some lol..gross i know. Anyways i am angry that the bitch put her dog down because of it!! ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think people should own pets if they don't know anything about them! GrRR
