Caught a stray cat and now it's vet day! - Pet Pad

So - this little runt of a sweetie moved into our carport and was living inside my hubby's old car.
I tried to befriend her and *catch* her for months with several different methods and none worked. I even tried to set up a box with a stick - like in a cartoon - and waited and waited (for hours, sometimes) for her to go under the box to eat but it never worked.

So - I finally gave in and went out and found a place that sold animal traps - a few hours later, voila! I got me a kitty!!
Ohh no - now I can trap small, cute wild animals - I'll probably have to become a legit shelter, soon, we're taking them all left and right.

She's TINY and sooo skinny - she's been living in our carport for 4 monts and hasn't grown at all since she moved in so I believe she's actually 8 months old. Eventhough I've tried to giver *her* food the other animals have always interfered (we've taken in several cats a dog in a the past few years) So - now that she's inside and warm she's eating better and she let me pet her and pick her up.

So - we're off to the vet in just a little bit to get her medicated and all shot up and then I'll put a harness on her and let her around the house. Once she's use to all of us and the house then I'll let her off the harness. It should only take her about a week or two to get use to everything and *hopefully* we can litter-box train her in 2 or 3 weeks.

awww I'm sure she appreciates the fact that you took her in. Thats really sweet of you.

you sound like me!!!

i chased my youngest cat around for quite a while. and had to pull him out from under a car. lol. he was up in the engine compartment. but luckily i was on antibiotics for a cat bite already, so i didn't have to worry about that. lol. he used the litter box from the very beginning!!! so good luck and she's a cutie!!!
