How many of you have one? We found one thats perfect for us but Im afraid if we get her will have a hard time finding a place to live as we move place to place. Do you have a hard time finding housing? Two places we *might* be going after here are SD and Virginia: most likely Norfolk. Id hate to get her and then have to find her a new home. We were told that all the Navy housing allows dogs but I've looked and I see thats not true.

Some don't allow dogs, but many have a 2 pet limit.

    2 dogs
    2 cats
    1 dog 1 cat

Or in our case, sometimes we have 1 dog and 2 cats.

The majority of housing accepts dogs. If they don't then they will specifically say so. We have always had pets and never got rid of them. If we lived in apartments then we paid a pet deposit.

Yeah Britt's right, it actually depends on the housing... There has been housing at each place we have been so far that allows animals, but I can't say for the rest of the U.S. Good luck!

there are usually areas in each housing that will let you have pets. however, one thing to consider is that sometimes the waiting list for the area that accepts pets can be considerably longer than the ones that don't allow pets. just something for you to think about.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, I am in housing in Point Mugu CA. The ladies are right it just depends on the housing. Is there a wait for housing in Norfolk? Then you might have to get an apt., that is when you would run into pet deposits etc....

We have 1 dog. I've never had a problem so far, and I would not be willing to live in a place that didn't accept pets. I think that policy is ridiculous...
