Everyone come on down to help clean up the beautiful beach at La Jolla Shores, hosted by the Surfrider Foundation of San Diego.

September 6th
9am (usually lasts a couple of hours, depending on the number of people attending)
La Jolla Shores
Meet by the main lifeguard tower

To help out, all you have to do is show up. For all beach cleanups, please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes and sunscreen. We provide the gloves, bags, hand sanitizer and other essentials for cleaning up trash.

Justin is working on racking up some volunteer stuff so I'll let him know about this (along with the Autism walk) and we'll probably be there! I think it would be a blast!

I can ask to work the night shift. Do we get pick up sticks or do we just wear gloves?

It's a Saturday morning! Depending on Riley's mood and the weather, we might stick around a bit too and play in the water/lay out in the sun too.

You know, I'm not sure! I'll check with the coordinator and find out what's necessary as far as that goes!

Yes!

It makes me sick to my stomach!

Ever since I was little and learned from my babysitter, I have always cut those plastic rings up into pieces.. thankfully, they don't make them as much as more since they have those cardboard fridge packs now.

I am such a sucker for animals too, it makes me so so sad!
