Yokota Japan - OCONUS (Over Seas)

Anyone ever been or have any great info on it. We have orders there and will be leaving in Jan/Feb time frame. Thanks in advance!!

Yukosuka's the biggest base in Japan - it's close to Tokyo and there are lots of amenities. I'll pm you a link to a myspace forum dedicated to navy wives in Japan - they have loads of info on the subject!

I would love to have this inofrmation as well. We will be leaving in June and I am having some serious stress about housing and moving our stuff and what to expect. Thanks for any info you may have.

Hello! We are currently stationed in Yokosuka, Japan (about a 2 hr drive from Yokota). We've been here a year, and I have also been on base in Yokota (as well) on one occasion. We dealt with a lot of stress and issues moving over here too (storage, what to bring/what not to bring, the whole car ordeal, having a pet and making sure he had all his "Japanese Accepted" vaccinations to be allowed in the country....my gosh the list was truly endless). I probably cannot answer too many specifics about Yokota (other than my general observations), but I have a lot of experience from having survived this trip over here, lol, and I would love to help you out any way I can!! Just give me a holler!
