child run over after school in salt lake area?
Did anybody hear about something like that. We have a person that claims that her 10 yr old son was hit by a car and sustained injuries that included a broken hip. Her story seems kinda far fetched especially after her saying that it was a hit and run but NOTHING came on the news about it. Other things concerning her story don't add up so I was wondering if anybody heard anything about this? The school he goes to is probably from around the salt lake area because that's where they live but we're not sure.
The other thing we think is odd is that this supposedly happened last Thursday, he sustained a broken hip that required bolts and pins yet they were going to release him on Friday night? Wouldn't that require a longer stay? Like I said, there's more to the story but was just wondering if anybody had heard anything. |

I didn't even hear that. I heard about the little toddler being hit on Halloween, but nothing about that. I watch the news almost everyday and I even live in Utah.

We just think it's odd that with a 10yr old walking home from school, getting hit by a car, sustaining serious injuries AND the driver having fled, it didn't make the news. This is a small island, they're usually ALL over pedestrian accidents so this would be BIG but nobody's heard anything. Is there a way to find out short of calling the surrounding schools and checking if one of their students was hit by a car? I can't find anything online. I'm just curious myself, I'm not looking to out her or even discuss this with anyone, I really am just curious.

I have no clue, thats just kind of weird. I know that boy whose neighbor or something up in the Salt Lake area who was setting off fire works and screwed the boys leg up and what not has even been on the new recently and that was from over a year ago. I don't know its just kind of weird, because anything going on in Salt Lake is usually on the news.

We were in that area on Thursday afternoon at the library when school was being let out, there wasn't anything going on. The only way to know is if the kid's in a cast.

When did it supposedly happen? I heard about an accident down in that area the other day but they didn't specify that it was a pedestrian.

Literally just now on KHON they showed an accident where a woman was hit this morning... so im sure if it happened (especially a kid on way home from school, hit and run would be HUGE on the news) it wouldve been all over the news...
