It's in Hawaii. If you have any pets, you should begin the process to avoid quarantine. http://www.usarpac.army.mil/8tsc/replacement.html Housing website: http://www.armyhawaiifamilyhousing.com/ |

Are you on his orders? It's important to be command sponsored here.
Great Army link on relocating here. http://www.mwrarmyhawaii.com/support...ting-to-hawaii

Im here we got here in March.
Have you been to your EFMP screening yet if not schedule that so that you can be command sponsored which is how you get to come. Your husband will most likely go through an Overseas briefing where he will find out how to get your tickets from the SATO office. * Note* You do not have to pay for your tickets to fly here. In Hawaii you can live in any branches housing but usually that particular branch has priority first. As far as living on Schofield it is hard to tell you what the housing list is like best bet is to call and visit www.armyhawaiifamilyhousing.com We got here March 5 and had a house like 5 days later. Be prepared to pay the prorated rent when you move in and if for some reason you dont have the money to do that you can do the ASHA (Advanced Station Housing Allowance) loan which is a interest free loan from the Army for housing. During the briefing your husband will go to finance and file for your travel allowances along with DLA which is Dislocation Allowance. Make your reservations to stay in lodging ASAP if for some reason they dont have any rooms availble during the time period u need then they will issue you a statement of nonvailability to stay at another approved lodging. You will get a certain amount per day for food per person. Thats all I can think of right now but if you want pics of housing or something let me know Im more then happy to help. |
