Baby, I'm bad news.

Household goods
How long does it usually take to get everything? DH said a couple months but that seems like an extremely long time to me. I know it varies, but what's the average? I'm currently packing everything now and trying to figure out what is going in my suitcase and what's going to be shipped.
TIA!

It truly depends. Our stuff for example left the end of April and finally arrived into Korea the middle of June so that was about 8 weeks or longer. HHG's come via boat, Unaccompanied is supposed to come via plane. But both arrived at the same date.

We moved during an orders hold/end of PCS season, and it took about 3 weeks from the east coast to Hawaii this last time. But the time from Hawaii to the East Coast it took 6. We've never done unaccompanied baggage. Good luck!

We moved from DC to Hawaii. Got our HHG within 3 weeks and then our unaccompanied got here 2 weeks AFTER the HHG did. Never doing unaccompanied again...
(((this was our first "over seas" move and they told us 6 - 8 weeks)))

the one thing about UB- is it has to ship 4 weeks before your reg shipment-
we have done 2 and both got there before we did- but we sent the UB way ahead both times.

I'll let you know when it shows up, lol. We had unaccompanied baggage picked up on Oct 2. HHG were the 5th and 6th. We arrived in Germany on the 19th. We were told 43 days for unaccompanied baggage and 68 days I believe for HHG. I really hope it doesn't take that long. We wound up getting a stairwell on post yesterday. We thought we'd be forced off post and would be in a hotel for 3-4 weeks so we weren't worried about how long things would take to get here. Now that I am here with no curtains, appliances, or any of my stuff I hope it gets here much sooner.
