Hawaii Navy Uniform Change Over - OCONUS (Over Seas)

We finally got hard copies today so I feel like it's more firm now and I can actually start telling people. Looks like I'll be joining you ladies in Hawaii in December!!!!!!

Anyway, since DH has had special uniforms with the Blues for the last 3 years (right before they started the uniform change), we haven't had to worry about the uniform change over. They JUST, like a couple weeks ago, changed over to the new uniforms at our base anyway. We need to know if they've already changed to them in Hawaii so we can start updating DH's sea bag with the new uniforms ASAP before we get there. Or if they've been switched for a while so they're not in high demand, we might just buy them all when we get there to save moving room since he'll need to take them with him on the plane. TIA!

If you are coming from a region/command who has done the turnover, it's OK to be in the NWUs around base. DH ONLY has SUs and NWUs, so we double and triple checked the rules before we got rid of any of his old uniforms. They haven't changed to the NWUs on base, but the SU has been implemented since the fall.

I don't know if it counts since DH's command itself here hasn't done a turn over since they have their own uniforms specific to the command. I'll pass this on to DH and see what he wants to do. It sure would be nice to get rid of and not have to take those extra uniforms....

if he already has them he can wear them but they are not slated to go to camies till july. all we have in the uniform shop out here are hats and jackets. So if he dosent have them--no biggie

It really depends which command he is going to. Our command has already made them mandatory. They are not basewide mando yet though.
