Osan ladies...

We are heading down there this Saturday and I was wondering if you know of any places that sell guitars. We have found a place in Insadong, but I wanted to see if they were any cheaper down there.

DH knows the area in Seoul for musical instruments; I will ask him as soon as he gets home!

Okay, he doesn't know the name of the place (sometimes I swear he's deliberately ditzy) but it's near Insadong. There is a musical instrument museum there and it's some big building and you go under a big walkway thing. It all feels very much like a "market" area.

"Just another agreement to what people have already said, I never have much luck haggling on price, but you can basically just ask for every reasonable accesory, even on very cheap guitars (mine was 120,000 including bag, strings, leads etc.)

There are other guitar shops, one in the little shopping arcade adjoined to Hong-Ik station for a start, but if you're making a special trip up to Seoul, you should really just go for Nagwon-dong.

Yes, you can haggle for prices. Last time I bought a guitar there the salesman threw in a soft case, two sets of strings, a strap and a cord (accoustic/electric), free of charge. Close to $50.00 worth of accessories just for shopping at his booth. I didn't even bother to haggle on the guitar price. It was very reasonable in the first place.

And now he has decided, after I showed him all that, that yes, Nakwon is the area!

Good thing he has such great taste in wives or I'd have to slap him hehehe!

Thank you ladies! We did find the place in Osan, Nakwon and Insadong. We are looking for a little bit smaller guitar since it is for Haley. I am also going to check while I am in Hawaii this weekend. I am kind of window shopping until I get back next week.
