Question for MSOSers who're in Ramstein! - OCONUS (Over Seas)

Can anybody please give me some info on where the rental car places in Ramstein on base're located?
And how far're they from the hotel?
Can they be reached by walking from the hotel or're they too far away for walking?

I am not going to be much help. But we went down to Ramstein a few times to rent a car and the place we went to was off post just outside the main gate. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with where the hotel is so I am not much help. But Good Luck!

And you're more help as you think you're, cause now I/we know there's a place for rental cars right at the gate!
Hopefully somebody else who's in Ramstein or has been stationed there recently can give me some more info about this!

I just got here, but i'm almost certain there is a rental place right outside of the Ramstein airport, right next to the bx/mall and hotel. Of course you need a overseas military license in order to drive. TLF is about 10 minutes away from there, we have walked there a couple times from out TLF.

If you still need more info, once this 4 day is over I can talk to J. They always go to Ramstein to rent cars. My mind is just blanking right now on where we rented on Ramstein, I only remember the one off post! Sorry!

I thought there should be a few car rental places on/around/close to base, but just wanted to make sure we know where exactly they're located!
My man has that liscence already, cause he has been doing overseas tours back to back since 2002 and he's still overseas till next summer!

Thanks and that's really sweet of you, but we already figured some things out this evening!
Google's your best friend and we where able to find some pretty good info there - we just didn't want to wait too long to make the decision on where/who to get a rental car from!
It's already book and all's a done deal now!

I know you've already booked, but are you staying at the hotel in the KMCC? There is a rental car place in there - it is called 'Sixt' - so funny but they totally have zebra striped cars you can rent
