PCS to Naples question

We're moving to Naples in June-does anyone know if American TVs work there? Is it worth it to ship a flat screen HDTV?

i'm shipping out tue/wed (2/3) and will be arriving there the night of the 3rd. house hold goods shipment should be coming thur to our fantastic freaking pink house so i'll let you know. i think we will already have sat. bc there's some on the house- but we'll see. i really care about internet though....lets hope!

p.s. have you shipped your car yet? do it asap so you don't have to worry about being stranded when you get there. thats what we're going through now.

yes, american tv's work there, you just have to use a converter

yes, American Tv's work here, you just have to use converters..and you can skip them if you live in base housing. base housing has dual voltage.

Yes, you need a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter, and a stepup transformer. They will be able to help you with that at the minimart/nex when you get there, or your sponsor can show you.

first things first- MAKE SURE HTE MOVERS DONT SET IT ON ITS SIDE! FRICKING ITALIANS!!!! make sure if you're living out in the economy that you get the upgrade from 3Kw to 6 so you can run both transformers and pick up the AFN box from household goods warehouse. then youre supposed to register it at www.pvconnect.net and get the TID and UA number off the box. you'll have to hook it up to a transformer and then to the outlet but if your house is only at 3Kw then it'll kill your circuit breaker (at least at our house) and we had issues w/ it tripping. thankfully our alarm isn't ran through there. lol. i'll let you know what happens next after we start setting up the tv tonight or tomorrow (they say it takes about 24 hrs for hte authorization to go through per the website).
