Hawaii Housing - OCONUS (Over Seas)

OK, So I'm not 100% if I'm putting this in the right place, I really hope I am, if not, I'm sorry. So DH and I are considering moving into base housing in Hawaii because we live out in town right now. Our biggest reason for wanting to do this is so we can get a puppy. I've been looking into it as much as possible, but I can't find anywhere that says anything about a weight limit.

We'd like to get a chocolate lab, but they can get up to 80 or 90 lbs, from what I've heard. So just wondering if any of you know? Any information is greatly appreciated in advanced. Thank you!

No weight limit in Navy housing, just breed limitations- no rottweilers or pits. Most of the housing does have small yards though.

You're in the right spot but I don't know about housing weight limits. The Army doesn't have weight limits just some breed restrictions at certain places.

I did notice the small yards, so that would be one major reason for reconsidering a huge dog, or at least take him on LONG walks everyday, and hopefully find a dog park somewhere in the area.

There's a great dog park a couple of miles from the base, right next to the Moanalua housing.

I live on the Marine Corps base (we are Navy) and there isn't a weight limit......well if there IS it isn't followed! haha....honestly I don't think there is one. Like stated above there is a breed restriction (that isn't always followed either)......I will say this some of the yards are TINY or non existant over here......you'd have to walk the dog alot. On the Marine Corps base you can walk on the beach every single day.......alot of people take their dogs to the beach. mine hates the beach.......

No weight limit on MCBH. Just restrictions. DH's buddy has a mixed breed and it looks like a pit thats deff not a pit and he is getting kicked out of base housing because of it.

No weight limit-just breed restrictions. There are several dog parks and dog friendly beaches to take your pup to on the island. We take our puppy to the dog park in Mililani and in the Navy housing in Monalau.
