Advice for Ft. Lewis!
Alrighty so, I'm flying into Sea-Tac in a month or so to see DB while he's at Ft. Lewis. From what I understand there's a shuttle that makes trips from Sea-Tac to Ft. Lewis every other hour or so. As of right now thats how I intend to get there.
Anyone staying at Ft. Lewis that knows the best way to get from the Seattle airport to the temporary lodging on post? I stress about everything, so I'm trying to plan everything out. My flight arrives at 12:14pm Local time, so what would be my best bet around that time? Also, what are some fun things to do around Ft. Lewis? I don't want to be stuck to the confines of the hotel room. (At least not after the first 24 hours) ![]() Thanks for any help! ETA: Also I heard something about needing to apply for a visitor's pass. Is that the case if I'm only staying about 5 days? |

DH is stationed there and I visited him a few times before he deployed. We went into Seattle and stayed a weekend there which was awesome. We went to the Seattle Art Museum, the Space Needle, and Pike Place Market (I believe that is the name). We went to Mt. Rainier which was also awesome. We also did Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. Other than that we just spent time together and did normal things, run errands, go to movies, go to the mall, etc. I'm sure whatever you guys decide to do, it will be a blast!

Yes, you will need to get a visitor's pass. Make sure you bring a valid driver's license. Obviously, you won't need license and registration because you aren't driving on.
I don't know about the shuttle. I'd have your boyfriend check it out before you finalize any plans. It will be pretty cold then so I'll have to think of some things for you to do. You could check out down town Tacoma and the waterfront. |

Here is the schedule for the shuttle and their number:
http://www.kitsapairporter.com/clien...dules48421.pdf 360-876-1737 At lodging you will be within walking distance of everything. There's the PX, which you will need to pay with cash if you are not an ID card holder, then there's a skating ring, movie theater and library. Also, I think your boyfriend might get the visitors pass for you. You could have him meet you at the gate?
