WA/OR Vacation Ideas
We're trying to find something to do during the last 2 weeks of November in either WA or OR. We will have our 3 kids (11, 4 & NB) with us, so it needs to be fun for the whole family. We thought about flying to Disney, but that was a no-go expense wise, and I refuse to spend the money on the Great Wolf Lodge.
I thought about getting a cabin, but the kids would not have much fun with that.Anyone have any ideas? Websites?

Cannon Beach in Oregon is beautiful. There are small towns, and Seaside has a lot to do, restaurants, an arcade, an aquarium.... stuff like that that kids would like. They also have reduced rates in the winter, and the ocean is beautiful that time of year.... but it might be rainy FYI. Leavenworth, a town up by Mt Rainier has Oktoberfest every year, and the whole town transforms into a German city. It was their way to get tourism after all the loggers moved (I believe thats the story anyway) so the mostly German town started doing this. They don't just do it during October either, but I'd google it to see what they do have going on and when.

So, it won't be too cold to do Cannon Beach in the winter?
I thought a cabin would be fun if we were within driving distance of something to do/see. The kids will get stir crazy otherwise.

I'd go to Bandon on the coast, it's pretty there and very affordable. Most of hte beaches along the coastal highways have hotels right on the water and are pretty affordable, and have great fishing! You can usually walk down to one of the docks and buy fresh crab and fish for hardly anything. There are various water parks as well. Ashland, Oregon is always a nice place to visit with a family. A lot of culture and things to see, plus it's beautiful.
