Well, if you go on S 38th St, near Pacific, there's a little asian area. There's a restaurant on the corner (I think it's called "Viet Dong") thats really good. It's vietnamese, but I have a lot of friends who recommended it to me when I moved back here. There's also an asian market and a lot of other little shops. If you go around the corner from the restaurant, theres a LITTLE shop that has REALLY good food. Get a vietnamese sandwich, they're only like 2 bucks, and they are SO good. It's bbqed meat on a crusty french roll with some cilantro and jalapenos on it, and they blew my mind the first time I had them. Also, get one of the iced coffees if you go there. They are SO good.
I'll try and think of a chinese place too, but thats just the first place I thought of. On N. 26th and Proctor theres also a high end Thai place that is good. It's called "East/West". Try that if you're looking for a little nicer place. The first places I mentioned are authentic and GOOD, but not "high end".
