My mom and I are flying up there this tuesday then driving down to Portland, OR. It's way cheaper to fly there and drive to Portland than to fly right to Portland. Anyway we found a good deal on a rental car the thing is it's about a 30 minute drive from the airport.

It would cost us around $60 to take a taxi there.

Does anyone know a cheaper way for us to get there. I was thinking about the bus but it would be over an hour to get there and I don't think she wants to do that. If someone has an idea please let me know.

Yeah I've been looking at the shuttles as well but they're around $27 per person on the ones I've looked at. I found one for $11 per person but it only went to certain hotels.

There's express buses that go from the airport all the time, it would really take an hour? I can't clearly think of where that address is in Seattle, so I could be mistaken, but it seems like it'd be quicker. The bus system there is really kickass.

Yeah I did it through google maps so it may be off.

It's around 23 miles away from the airport so I guess it depends on the direction the bus goes.

I'm sure we will figure things out when we get there I just like to be prepared.

Oh weird I just did it again in google maps and it now says 30 minutes. Don't know what happened last time maybe I did something wrong.

It's King County, look for transit. They should have trip planners and it will tell you exactly what bus to get on and how long it will take you. Theres a name for the bus system, but I can't think of it right now, so try under King County first. Hope that helps.

Yeah I'll try that thank you. I figured out why it changed to 30 minutes it's because I had it on driving a car there not public transportation. It went back to 1 hour after I did it the right way.

Does the rental car have a shuttle?? Sometimes they can pick you up from the airport. Why did you get a rental car so far from the airport, there are TONS right there. Also the rental car place you are going to is NORTH of Seattle, so you are going to have to go thru Seattle, get your rental car, go back down thru Seattle to catch the interstate.

Yeah there are tons right there but it's a couple hundred less to go to the one we went to. We chose it because it was WAY cheaper than any other place. Trust me we looked at lots of rental places and it was crazy expensive. I know the guy said there were shuttles that went there but I'm not sure exactly which one he was talking about. The ones I've looked at were pretty pricey to go 23 miles. We may call them and ask if they can pick us up if not then I'm sure we will figure something out.
