I have never been (yet) but I have family in the area. It's beautiful. Also, Vancouver Island.

    I am from British Columbia!!!!
There is so much to do in the provincial capital. Just to wander around and look at the Parliament buildings is lovely.
    Here are some highlights...
    Royal London Wax Museum
    Carr House
    Pacific Undersea Gardens
    Beacon Hill Children's Farm
    The Butchart Gardens
You have to have some Panago pizza, have some fish and chips, taste some salmon.
There is a lot to see and do out there.

    Now I am homesick.
I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

If you were going for one day (no overnight thing) what would you do?

The downtown area is beautiful... lots of shops, cobblestone streets, resteraunts. Try there. I believe its referred to as "old town". I haven't been in a long time, but thats how I remember it!

    I'm from BC too.

Get panago pizza. It's Canada's big chain, but it's our Thing. So you might as well try.

Go to some of the "china town" districts.

See if you can go to a historical area. There's tons. And the houses are just so freaking beautiful. The architecture is amazing.

The downtown area is fabulous. I'd just kinda wander around a bit and check out shops (great shops) and restaurants.

Sorry, been a while since I've been to Victoria, and we stayed with friends for like a week when we went, so I dunno how much help I'll be. But it's drop-dead-gorgeous and lots of fun, I'm sure you'll have a blast!

I'm from BC...You'll love Victoria. The weather is always nice there. Lots to do in and around the harbour area. Check out the Empress Hotel. I think they just remodeled it. They're famous for noon tea time. But you can check out other things like the wax museum and the miniture world museum.

You'll have fun but now I'm missing BC...
