Olympic College in Bremerton (Community college)

Tacoma Community College has a branch in Gig Harbor & one in Tacoma

University of Puget Sound in Tacoma (tuition is like $35k/year)

Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma (tuition is also expensive)

University of Washington Seattle (take the ferry)

University of Washington Tacoma (smaller campus)

Ummm.... those are the ones I know of closeby.

UW has a good deal for metro passes and ferry passes too. They have campuses in Seattle. Tacoma, Bothel and soon there will be one in Everett. (Yup, I'm an alum... MSW, class of '99).

Eastern has a campus in Everett and Western is in Bellingham but has some offerings down here too.

I happen to teach for University of Phoenix online and I also know that Columbia College offers classes at most of the bases here as well as online.

In Seattle there are South Seattle Community College, Seattle Central CC, North Seattle CC, Shoreline CC and a few others.
There are private colleges too- Seattle U and Seattle Pacific U.

Good luck!!! I kind of miss school sometimes- I went to college in Oregon then grad school here then worked on my PhD at Portland State for a couple of years. It sure beat this working 2.5 jobs!!! (Oh, the days before mortgages, kids and responsibility...)

I graduated from the University of Washington Tacoma campus. I loved it and it just turned into a 4 year campus last year.It use to be only the last 2 years of college and masters programs.I knew some army and navy wives when I went there.

I need to stay close to bangor. I am trying to go to school while the kids are in Daycare. I also have credits from another navy college. DH ran into problems when he went from a community college to a navy college. I am trying to become a PT tech. Thanks again.
