    First duty station is....

    [Ft. Meade!]

This is the station we were hoping for as we haven't explored the east coast much at all! I'm super excited. DB has more training to do and we aren't married yet, but I'm stoked to eventually join him!

So, tell me everything about the Ft. Meade area. Who's stationed there!?

Nothing on Facebook, please. We're waiting until Christmas to tell family.

Close enough to DC but far enough away to be out of the city.
    Its an hour from me....

Those I know stationed there love it.

I'm glad you guys are excited for it! We're glad to be on the west coast but we wouldn't mind east coast for a few years eventually.
My aunt and uncle were stationed in Maryland when they were in the army in the 80s, they absolutely loved it!

We're about 20-30 mins away from Meade in Bowie, MD. Plenty of stuff to explore...DC, Annapolis, Baltimore. We love it here!

Ft. Meade is awesome . I live in Bowie and that's where we go for pretty much everything we need military-wise. It's got pretty much the perfect location - smack in the middle between Howard County, Baltimore/Baltimore County, Annapolis and DC. If you need any help with the area when you get here let me know. I've lived in the Baltimore area my whole life and am finally starting to get my grasp on the Bowie/Annapolis/DC area .
