Anything I can do now to prepare?

    Advertisements
I'll be moving to Norfolk VA at the end of May/early June. I know that's a decent amount of time away from now, but I was just wondering if there's anything I should start doing now to make the move any easier.

    Any tips?

Buy a winter coat. And that means a REAL winter coat. None of the shit you have down in TX. And real snow shoes.

Start going through your clothes now! Seriously, it's amazing how many clothes I got rid of when we moved.

Is this a dream? If it is, please don't wake me from this high. I'd become comfortably numb
until you opened up my eyes to what it's like when everything is right...I can't believe you found me ♥

Since there is plenty of time, as someone suggested go through your things. Go through clothes, things around the house....things you don't need anymore. We do that every time new orders are coming in go through our house see what we don't need anymore things we don't want to keep and get rid of them.

Don't go out and buy a winter coat yet! Wait until winter is over and there is a sale on all of the winter stuff.

We're moving in June, and we're decluttering our home now so it'll show better when we list it. Right now we have about 4 boxes of stuff to donate from Goodwill. I absolutely refuse to move all of this crap we don't use now across the country with us.

    In Norfolk?

It gets cold, but not crazy cold by any means. And I've never seen anyone in Hampton Rds in snow shoes. We lived there over 12 years.

eta: I'm from the South and don't even find VA that cold, so it's not like I'm used to the cold either.
