    Confused Moving to Maine

    Advertisements
    Hello all,
My family is moving to Maine in May- August 2010 to be stationed with the USS Spruance out of Bath, Maine. I am not familiar with the area. I am hoping someone out there can assist- need information on good schools, locations, Christian churches, etc... I am looking within a 30 minute drive from Bath/ Brunswick area. What areas would you recommend and why?
I will greatly appreciate any information. I will also be looking into teaching- either full time or substituting in the schools 4-6th grade.
    Thanks so much,
    Jennifer Hyatt

    Maine

Thank you for the reply. I think we have narrowed our choice down to Woodland Village II (E7 to O5 housing). The person at housing said it is the newest (built in April 2006) and biggest. The main thing I like is that it is on base. I was concerned that with the base closure that housing area would not be an option but the lady at housing says the base closing will not affect us going into housing. I am really excited to get to Maine now that we have determined where we will be living : ) I noticed the BAH has been drastically cut for this area so securing a home rental would have been stressful.

    Thank you,
    Jennifer Hyatt

    Hi

I am currently living in Brunswick and have been here for the past 4 years, if there is anything else you have questions about.... ask away.

We will be leaving Aug-sept 2010

Me too! Unfortunately the Army doesn't have a base there!
