My boyfriend and I are supposed to be moving in together in October. We're aiming for the 15th. Not really sure which complexes to look at. He works at Little Creek. I work in Chesapeake and Downtown Norfolk. We're aiming for VA Beach Apartments. Any good but CHEAP 1 bedroom apartments?

We had an apartment down in Hilltop it was pretty cheap, it was a townhouse.

Where at in Hilltop?

We've looked at Emerald Point. But I keep hearing HORRIBLE stuff about that complex.

i know tons of people that live in emerald point and absolutely hate it. i would not recommend there.

i, however, still live at home. so i cant really be much help. sorry

Also, was wondering if anyone knows of the conditions of him putting in his BAH chit. He's only an E-3 and isn't currently getting BAH. But said someone else in his shop that's his rank put in for it a few weeks ago and just got it. Does his name need to be on the lease? And does it have to be within a certain distance from the base?

We live in an apartment called linkhorn bay... you dont need a washer/dryer they provide, its pretty cheap, and we have an indoor pool!!!!

Ok we're not close to little creek, but really, um we lived across the street from base in waterford apartments and they werent really that bad, and pretty cheap .. good luck!

We lived in Colonial Arms Apartments on First Colonial. I liked them for the year we were there from '01-'02. Gosh, rent back then was $695/mo for a 3 bedroom.

Ahh. DB is not helping the situation. We're now looking for a 2 bedroom. Because he "needs a room to leave parts for the jeeps" and god knows those parts can't go in the closet.

I used to live at SouthBeach not so cheap but great apartments however, I wanted to comment on Linkhorn Bay I have been checking them out recently and may actually move there soon. Also there is a place on Laskin off of Laskin beside Captain Georges I can NOT think of the name but they had a 2 bedroom 1200 sq ft 2 bath for 800 includes washer dryer!
