DO NOT live in Suitland. My husband works there and we live in Waldorf. I loooooooooooooove Waldorf and the commute isnt bad. I assume your SO will be at NMIC/ONI? Please PM me if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you. We have lived here since June '07.

Omg, I just spit my coffee out of my nose!

And yes, DO NOT LIVE THERE!!!! Or anywhere directly around it. Let me list you those areas as well.

    New Carrollton
    Hyattsville
    Lanham
    Landover
    Hillendale

Basically, if you are going to be stationed at ONI/NMIC take a little bit further drive down rte 4 towards Calvert County. Once you reach Chesapeake Beach, Lothain, and Dunkirk you will find very nice areas.

Also If you go the other way towards Rte 5, you will head into Charles county. Most areas around there are pretty nice as well.

Mainly, if I were you, stay out of PG county for the most part.

Oh and all this pertains to if you are stationed at Andrews as well.

Charles county is very nice and close. Check out Waldorf, La Plata, White Plains and also St Marys county.

Bowie and Croften are ok too. It just depends where you're going to be stationed.
