VA Apartments - NorthEastern U.S

Ok....so soon I will be moving down to VA (Norfolk, Portsmouth area) with Jason and I was wondering if any of you know of any good apartments that you would reccomend or ones that aren't so good that you would tell me to stay away from? Thanks for all your help in advance.

Well the place I really like is in Chesapeake.. which is where I live. A little bit more of a drive but not bad. It's actually less of a drive to Norfolk than it is to where my husband works whihc is Newport News. Holl Point Apartments. They are VERY nice. They have a pool, gym ect...

My sister goes to school in VA. She told me that Ghent is a nice place to live.

If you contact the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce or maybe even a Norfolk realtor they'll probably send you an apartment book. I love Chesapeake and if you live near the Greenbriar area you'll be very close to the expressway. It's only about 20-30 minute drive into Norfolk. Ghent is very nice. Probably expensive, but a trendy neat place to live as long as you have no children. It's not very kid friendly. I wouldn't reccommend any area of Portsmouth, but honestly I don't know that area very well.
