    NOVA ladies...

    Advertisements
My parents are thinking about going to DC sometime this week while they are in town. I wanted to see if anyone had an idea of what cities I should look for a hotel in. They do not want to stay in DC and I've looked at hotels.com but I'm not really sure of which areas that we need to avoid.

Thanks for any help that you can give.

Fairfax, Stafford, Woodbridge ..that area wold be good. You could take the metro in from Fairfax if you wanted to. Those are generally nice areas, I dont know about cost.

I stayed in Fairfax once. It was really pretty! I set my parents up in a hotel in Arlington last year. The outskirts....they loved it!

Lots of hotels and the metro is right there also
Parking costs during the weekdays at all the metro stations but is free on the weekend

How far away from the city do they want to stay??

Arlington is great because its close to the city and has a lot of metro stops. Old Town Alexandria is also really cute and has a ton of shops and restaurants. Oh, Arlington would include, Rosslyn, Ballston, Clarendon and Court House.
