    Ladies near DC

    Advertisements
I did something similar around Thanksgiving, but anyone that lives near DC or even anyone that has merely visited DC....where are some places that you just love to eat in the city?? We are going to be staying in Springfield but I want to make nice dinner reservations for the Saturday that I am there and just want to go somewhere GOOD!! So let's hear it!! And if you know if there is a website to the location, I'd really appreciate the link too!! TIA!

We haven't eaten in DC yet but there are a few good restraunts we saw when driving through Georgetown. We also saw some really nice ones over in the area by the Spy Museum

K...thanks. The last time I was there, DH and I saw this beautiful restaurant near the Old Post Office, but I think we are both very far from being able to afford it!!

Umm, I would like somewhere that is not the average chain restaurant, but also at the same time not have to dress up ultra nice either. Thanks for the suggestion, I don't know if DH would eat any of the stuff on that menu though!! haha, he's picky sometimes!!

There is a really good Mexican/South American restaurant over near 8th and I also. You can take the metro there right out of Springfield....I can tell you exactly what stop to get off at after I look it up
Very casual and very very good food . That is the only place we ate at in DC and it's not too far from the Marine Barracks and some other really cool places to check out after dinner.

I will ask dh the name of it tomorrow if I can't find it online.

K thanks! I'm from Texas, so I get my fair share of mexican food, but it might be just what DH needs.

    Found it!!!!!!!

    http://www.lasplacitas.com/

the food was delicious there! ....go early if you go because it's small and you may have to wait

Here is info on Barracks Row
    http://www.barracksrow.org/

you will take the blue line and get off at Eastern Market....it spits you out right at 8th, if I remember correctly you would look to your right after getting off

Tell your dh that he would know the Marine Barracks because it was in the opening scene of a Few Good Men....he might want to go then
