Ok, I know there's already a forum going for this... But I'm changing the subject a bit.

Is there any one out there looking for a friend???

I'm shy (BUT GETTING BETTER!) and I've yet to meet anyone who I really click with.

I like my neighbors, but they're always with their kids (and the ones they babysit) and I feel awkward not having kids and just going over to say hi (remember, shy).

Since the internet makes things easier

I'd like to see what's out there!

Doesn't this sound like a personals add??

I'm at Knox. I don't have any kids and I totally know what you're talking about! It's hard to randomly walk over to a group of people sitting out in there yard! Sometimes it makes it incomfortable to even walk the dog! Where are you at? I'm in Van Voorhis.

Yeah, being a shy person ONTOP of not having kids or knowing if I have anything in common with people really stalls me up on walking over an talking to people. If I were in a random area OTHER than the housing area (like PX, Commissary, etc) I could strike up a convo no issue. I think it's the whole pressure of "OMG if I piss them off I have to see them regularly". I don't worry about upsetting people too much, but neighbors are on a whole other level for me.

My big thing is, you never know who anyone is. And I would hate to piss off one of my hubs command! I'm on gilkey.

Yeah this is true.. I know my husband's LT lives somewhere around here... So I have to be careful!!!

Do you ever go to the gyms!!!!! I want to try some of the classes they have at the gyms. I figured if i'm going to be bored I mine as well be productive!

Have you found a job!!!! I'm really struggeling with this one! I'm a bartender so there aren't many options for me at all.

I don't go to the gym... YET! Every time DH wants to go I'm not home... What classes/where can I find out what classes are available?

... I work at Best Buy... And really don't like it. The people are great but I'm used to being upper management and being bottom of the totem pole is effecting my sanity. But, I can't complain too much, we need the money!

I'm a little surprised you're having trouble, I guess I didn't realize bartending was competitive as far as job availability.
