Wrights Patterson AFB
Is anyone living there? What's the base like? Is it near anything or in the middle of nowhere? My friend is getting stationed there and he wants me to come out and visit and I've never been there before. What do I pack?

It's pretty centrally located to some bigger cities. I grew up in Cincinnati, OH which is about an hour south of there. Wright Patt is on the outskirts of Dayton, OH. Columbus, OH is a little over an hour east of there and Indianapolis, IN is about 2 hours west of there. Kings Island is about a half hour from there and is a great amusement park. From my understanding downtown Dayton has a pretty good bar scene. I have never been though. There really is pretty much to do with in an hour drive. Feel free to ask me any specific questions and I will try to answer the best I can.

Errr that I don't know. Sorry. I just know the area minus the base.
 PM Mrs_Salty. She is a very good friend of mine and grew up right in the area and her BIL is a civi contractor there.
