Jobs around Ft Riley?

So I'm thinking of heading down to the Ft Riley area around July. I want to finish out the last few months down there but I want a job!! I am a waitress and usually it isn't hard to find jobs but in this job market even waitresses are having a tough time finding work. What's it like down there?? I don't want to end up down there with no job! I love what I do but I hate where I am. Time for a change. And how is rent down there? I'll live somewhere semi close to post I hope.

I'm in Junction City and I've been looking for a job since January and I CANNOT find one. IHOP just put a hiring sign up so maybe you could try waitressing there? Manhattan is also pretty close to base and they have a mall, restaurants, there's a lot more opportunity there so if you looked you could probably find something. I'm going to look for something out that way in the next couple of weeks. PM me if you need anything else

ETA: I'm more of a retail worker, I usually work in retail management, never done any work in restaurants so you may have better luck than me.

i would also say manhattan would be your best bet for a waitress job... there is an applebees, chili's, famous dave's... a few other sit down places too... manhattan is a college town and obviously many of them go home for the summer so you might have good luck getting a job out there this summer...
