    Advertisements
As of Saturday October 15, all Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones are banned from all aircraft in the US. This includes carrying on your person, in carry-on luggage, in checked luggage, and in any cargo shipment.

We are flying right now and they keep making announcements to let them know if you have one and need to make "other arrangements" I wonder what people will do lol. If I had a note 7 it would have been ok on the first flight but banned on the return ...

Uh, definitely more than one. It was originally released in August and they did a voluntary recall less than a month later due to the phones blowing up and causing fires. They issued replacement phones but those were still blowing up and causing fires. They even started sending consumers fireproof boxes to send the phones back in. Samsung suspended all sales and manufacturing of the phone about a week ago.

I don't know the exact number, but you can Google and find lots of stories.

Lots. 112 in the first month they were for sale. And some of the replacement phones they gave out then caught on fire.

It's a significant problem, not one or two fluke incidents.

I wasn't trying to imply that I didn't think there were more, just wanted a rough number and am not able to Google anything right now. One online newspaper reported that a lot of false incidents had been reported, so I was curious if the true number was lower

I'm not sure if it's my WiFi or my browser, but the only pages that will load are things I've recently visited.
