I haven't donated to any of these, can't say i've heard of them... but makes me wonder, what are the other 950 charities??

Children's Cancer fund of America
Operation Lookout National Center for Missing Youth
Police Protective Fund
National Cancer Coalition
Find the Children
Firefighters Assistance Fund
Hope cancer Fund

Haven't donated though, because I'm very particular of who I donate to.

I have heard of several of them. We have gotten calls from a few. We do not donate to charities who call begging. One because we know it is not the actual charity calling and also because I only give money to a couple different groups based on personal experience with them or the cause being personal. No telemarketer will convince me to do otherwise.

And I do, I have given them my money. And I've benefited from it.

One that they don't list that I WILL NOT donate money to is Susan G. Komen. If I see any product that is pink or says "for the cure" I avoid it like the plague. Nope nope nope.

Komen has cut the proportion of its revenue that goes to actual research by half, with only 15% of the cash it rakes in finding its way into actual cancer research programs.

My understanding is that they've placed a lot of focus on marketing (turning America pink every October) but have lost focus on their core mission.

Those are the ones I have a tendency to stick to.

I dont think Ive heard of any of them. I have my one specific charity that I avoid like the plague, but I only give to a certain couple of them in the first place.
