They didn't say they were hanging in the front yard. A lot of HA's ban clothes lines no matter if it is in the back yard. For some reason people think it looks trashy. I don't see how line drying your clothing is trashy it is better for the environment and the sun is great for getting tough stains out.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Do people not have anything better to do with their time?
You can't hang your laundry outside!? Wonder if the electric company is just pissed because they're losing $83 a month because Suzy Homemaker is hanging her laundry outside. Seriously?! Dumbest thing I ever heard. If someone came to my house to ***** about me hanging laundry outside, the next day, I'd have every piece of underwear on the wire. The ass of each pair would read "Bite Me".

Yeah, Im not saying she was hanging her laundry in the front yard. It doesnt state that in the article at all. I was saying that I personally wouldnt hang it in the front yard, Ive only seen a handful of people that do. I see no problem with hang drying laundry, I know a lot of people that do it in their basement, but the sun is the best option.
When we lived in CO our HOA told us we couldnt have out rug airing out in the back yard when we had a privacy fence. They are stupid laws. |

So is Ms Froelich's house in the subdivision that belongs to the HOA? I don't think so, if it's an 18th century farmhouse; it seems from the story that her house is across the street from the HOA/subdivision.
If that's the case, they have no say over what she chooses to put in her front yard, back yard, whatever. Her house was there before the subdivision, and if she doesn't belong to the HOA, they have no jurisdiction over her. I think that town would probably have a hard time getting a no-hang ordinance passed. |
