This whole thing, from a medical perspective, makes me feel very suspicious.
Dystonia can present at any point in one's life - it may have just been an absolute coincidence that it happened following a flu shot.

This is exactly the type of thing that terrifies people into not getting a shot - which could be detrimental to those around them if they are an at risk group.

I'm not saying everyone should get one - that's a personal choice - but they need to present all the facts of dystonia before making outlandish claims such as this.

They suspect that the flu shot triggered the nervous disorder - it's very rare and can be dormant until sparked by something. (The rarity of it greatly diminishes the chance that it's coincidence).

I'm thrilled that it hasn't halted her life completely!

Whatever caused it, my heart goes out to her. This can't be easy and it's hard to see her go through that.
