Chula Vista Makes Play For Chargers

Tuesday night, the Chula Vista City Council agreed to approve the formation of a delegation to meet with team representatives about a new stadium in the South Bay. The council also voted to prepare a committee to gauge the interest of community members in Chula Vista. Chula Vista is the first city in the county to take initial steps toward luring the team. Last week, the San Diego City Council agreed to amend the Chargers' lease at Qualcomm Stadium to enable the team to look for a new home within the county. The Chargers have not yet commented on Tuesday night's decision.

Im sorry but I am totally totally totally against this. I was watching the news last night and the city of CV is thinking of using land near the Olympic Stadium. hmm that would be nice but theres only one way in and one way out and thats via Otay Lakes/Telegraph Canyon Road. The houses around the Olympic Stadium are avg 800k and Im sure the owners wont want a stadium that close to them. I really hope that CV doesn't go too full into this choice. Besides if the Charges want a stadium then open their own damn checkbook and build their own.
