New to Norfolk, VA - Newbies

Hi, I'm Tracy. Just moved with my boyfriend friend from Groton, CT to shore duty in Norfolk. Its much warmer and gorgeous weather in VA! My boyfriend and I actually met in High School, but reconnected after 5 years. We talked over e-mails while he was deployed and on the phone when he could. We set up a visit for me to visit CT from TX and when it came time for me to get on the plane to go home, we decided it'd be a good idea if I just stayed! So, I did! We've been inseparable ever sense. That was in May earlier this year. We've bought a house, we have a sweet 7 month old puppy! Very happy! I am very happy to have him off the sub, but as much as I love him, it's be pretty swell to find some girlfriends! You know when he just makes you want to pull your hair out and your girls are there!? I miss that. I don't expect to find friends on here but if it were to happen that would be cool!

About me? I like to hang out around my fire pit on my deck and have a beer or mixed drink! SO far that's pretty much what we do on the weekends!

Welcome. I am Melissa. DH and I live pretty much on the border between Norfolk and Virginia Beach. In fact he is a Submariner as well.

Hi Tracy! It's a shame i just returned home in Italy! I've been in Chesapeake (very close to Norfolk) until early october, i stayed few months at DB's and i was in your same situation! I would have loved to find some girlfriends! Well, let's keep in touch, maybe we can hang out next time i go there!
