Hello! - Newbies

Hi everyone! I am, like everyone else in the newbies part of the forum, new to this whole thing

My boyfriend is an officer in the Air Force and he just left two days ago for a six month deployment in Iraq. I'm not excited about it but I am optimistic that everything will work out just fine. I'm hoping that a good attitude will be half the battle

I figured that since none of my friends have had to deal with this sort of thing before that it would be best to split my whining time between them and here. Everyone seems pretty friendly here so I think it's a good decision since you ladies (and guys, I imagine) have much more experience with this deployment stuff than I!
