Girlfriend of a New Student Naval Aviator
My name is Megan and my boyfriend, Joe and I have been dating for 4 years now. He just moved out to Pensacola, FL to wait for flight school to start. I'm a marine engineer working off the Northwest Coast and it's hard for me to get time off to visit him. Because I work on a ship, I don't often have access to a phone line, so email is really our only method of communication. It's really hard, especially since for the last 4 years of our relationship we've been able to see each other pretty much every day.
I guess I joined this website to look for some support and advice on starting/maintaining a long distance relationship, particularly with someone in the military. He's got a while to go before I have to start stressing about deployments, but being away from him is already hard, especially when I can't look forward to a particular date when I'll get to see him next. Feel free to email / PM me. |

well long distance relationships often suck its the predictament we are often left in when our loved onces get deployed it brings us closer though in the end and I really believe it makes us stronger.
