www.diaperpin.com has a lot of great resources.

you can hire a diaper service but you don't really save as much money as if you did it yourself

    i'll PM you too

I went on Ebay and bought cloth all in one diapers. I bought mine from the same seller so I could combine shipping and saved a lot of money. For Tori's "stash" I spent about $45

I love them, I wish I had bought them 4 kids ago!

heres a copy of my basic cloth info I sent to a friend from work....

These sites give you a good description of the types of diapers....

    Pockets~
    http://fuzzibunz.com/Fuzzi-Bunz-Details.htm
    http://swaddlebees.com/

also go to www.Diaperpin.com they have excellent reviews and the forums are a wealth of information as well as mommys selling diapers
most moms take paypal or a money order. Also try www.diaperswappers.com all types of diapers for sale.

    just a few things....
Pocket diapers are the ones I showed you with the pocket in the back that you stuff the pads in and I showed you I was using 2. these are great because you can make the diaper as absorbant as you want which is great for over night and shopping trips.

All In ones are a complete diaper....the padding is sewn into the diaper and all you do is snap or velcro it on, no stuffing involved. The most like a disposable diaper in my opinion. Downside is that you cant make it more absorbant unless you lay a liner in between the baby and the diaper. I do really like these though. Also known as an AIO

Fitted diapers..., no plastic lining inside the diaper and it needs a cover. I am just starting to use these and they are not bad but more complicated than using pockets or AIO's.

CPF's (Chinease prefolds), Indian Prefolds, Flats...the old flat white diapers that need pins or a thing called a snappi.http://www.earthbaby.com/snappis.html Easy to use but not as convient or easy as the above diapers. These also need a cover. But are the cheapest option for cloth diapering.

Covers.. www.greenmountaindiapers.com can be anything from vinyl, wool, or fleece. I have fleece and vinyl and they work very well. Can be reused because the fitted diaper or CPF catches and holds all the pee and hopefully keeps the poop in. Only need to be washed every few days or when poopy escapes and gets on the cover. I love wool covers and wool covers require special washing and lanolising or they will leak but some are darn cute! http://www.sitonknits.com/store/WsAncillary.asp?ID=1

note that the sites I linked for diapers are just a few of hundreds! the diaper pin site lists and has links to a ton of diaper sites. If you register on the diaper pin forums my name on there is Scarlet. If you have any questions feel free to call or e-mail! Also, let me know if you decide to use cloth. Its so much fun and buying cute diapers is addictive.

other links~ www.cottonbabies.com home of bumgenious! diapers, their one sz diapers are great and fit my 3 month old and the same diaper will fit my potty training 2.5yr old
www.kissaluvs.com they have great cloth wipes, work much much better than disposable
http://www.llamajama.com/ great wool covers and shorts, also long pants....all diaper covers......i buy mine used though....

I use a combo of prefolds with covers, pocket diapers, all in ones, and all in twos. Prefolds and covers are the cheapest way to go and its what I use around the house for the most part.

I use snappis to keep the prefold on it I have diaper pins that I just tried I don't like them as much I don't get the diaper on as tightly as with a snappi. OR I just tri fiold the prefold and lay it in the cover. For newborns prefolds are the best and you might want to lay a bit of fleece across the diaper so that the meconium poo does not stain your diaper.

The diaper pin, cotton babies, & green mountain diapers have a lot of information for you.

I would not go to diaper swappers a lot of scamming has been going on there, the site was bought by a man and he has placed a lot of skeevy ads (Google ads soft core porn ads are popping up) on there, spyware, trojans, & some women have gotten computer viruses from the site. It used to be great but I would not send anyone over there now.
