Breastfeeding trouble
As most of you know I had to stop breasfeeding Brenna for 3 days becasue I had to treat my hair. Well we are having trouble getting going again.
I pumped and dumped those 3 days as often as she normally would feed. Right now it just doesnt seem like theres enough to satisify her. I know im getting milk in because I can manually squeeze it out. I also think she hit a growth spurt. She is wanting to feed more so I let her but she gets angry at my breast and pulls off and screams. UGGGGGG so frustrating!!!!!! Any tips or suggestions?

If she was on formula for a few days, she might have gotten use to the instant full they feel on that... breastmilk just works a bit different.
Just keep at it... eventually it will all work again.

Dustie, keep with it! She has probably gotten lazy and is just "protesting" the breast. She will be satisfied with it just stick to it

Just keep working at it!
At her age, it is common for her to stay on the breast for a long time. dont look at the clock when nursing. As long as she is pooping and peeing, she is getting enough BM. If it is possible I would stop formula for at least a couple of days. Like Joys said, she knows she can get it from the bottle which is no work for her. Smart Cookie!!

I didn't mean to be rude!...That did come across sooooo wrong! I'm sorry! Oi, I've never been so embarassed ... I was just trying to ask, I should have re-read before I posted! Oi! Sorry Anyway - food for future thought, there is a non-toxic treatment that's safe for when your nursing and even to use on your infant if you ever need to. It's called 'Kleen-Free' |

Is she getting mad and pulling off ljust about as quick as she gets on, or is it after she's been nursing awhile? If it's somewhat instant, try dripping formula down into her mouth as she is sucking on your breast. She'll think she's getting something and will keep sucking and will eventually get the BM. That worked with Preston when he was first born.
