"Chunker", "chubby", "rolly polly"...insult or complement??

I personally feel babies are meant to be a little chunky My son was always petite but I adored his chubby wrists and chunky thighs. If a baby up to say 18ish months is chunky I will call them out on it, but I mean it as a compliment!!! I'll say something like "OMG, look at that sweet chunker! Love the thighs" or something.

Curious if you say things like that, or if someone has said something like that about your baby. Do you/would you say something like that, or would you consider it rude/inappropriate?

    Options:
1- Yes, Baby has been called chunker. Cute!
2- Yes, Baby has been called chunker. Rude!
3- No, baby has not been called chunker. Wouldn't care/Cute!
4- No, Baby has not been called Chunker...thankfully! Rude!
5- Slightly weird/inappropriate, but no strong opinion
    6- Other

My kids aren't so much on the chunky side but on the occasion there has been some cutie chunky moments! I am also a fan of the Buddha bellies when they stick out of their little shirts or are just in diapers

She still gets called chunky. She has always been chunky and I love it.

I voted 3. Ruby is long and lean, so not a chunker. However, I do love some chunk. My other kids were in the 90+% for weight and length, but weren't "chunky." They were solid.

I had a major chunker, I called him it all the time, I don't find it rude, and he grew out of it around 2 1/2

That being said, I do find it rude to call a baby fat. For some reason to me chunker, chunk a munk, chunky little guy....those didn't bother me, but calling him fat did.

No kids here, but I think it's weird. Not offensive or rude because babies are supposed to have extra fat. I just find it to be an odd comment, like you can't think of anything nice so you just point out a fact. Like instead of "Oh he's so beautiful!" you say "Oh, look at his blue eyes!" Totally non-descript and saves you from saying "Wow, weird looking kid". But I do get other people say it in a nice way and mean for it to mean "He's cute". It's also weird because it's a comment that at some vague, unstated age that would absolutely be an insult, whereas the blue eyes thing wouldn't be.

My kid came out 10.1 and is still...large.

I am making a conscious effort NOT to call her Chunker right now since she started answering to it. . Whoops.
Put on your big girl panties and deal with it like a boss.

My nephew is 21 months old. I don't call him chunky bc he's not really chunky but I always tell him how much I LOOOVE his little belly. It's so cute and round.
My kids were called chunky or chubby baby.... I didn't find it rude.
