Where is the best place to buy diapers?

My brother's baby is due in a few weeks and he told me all they really need are diapers. I'm going to just send a gift card, since what do I know about diapers? I don't think they have memberships to like Sams club or Costco or anything but they have access to all the regular stores like walmart, target, babies r us etc. I'm assuming walmart probably sells all the normal brands and they'd be the cheapest, right?

Also what kinds of toys do babies like? I want to send him a cute outfit and a toy but I don't know anything about kids.

I buy diapers at Walmart or on Amazon. Babies take no interest in toys for the first several months, and then they like colorful objects that are safe to put in their mouths.

I would buy toys for older months. I like these:
    Amazon.com: VTech - Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker: Toys & Games
Amazon.com: Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Love to Play Puppy: Toys & Games
    http://www.amazon.com/Lamaze-Cloth-B...ords=baby+toys
    http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-S...ords=baby+toys

Those are all 'my baby' tested and approved.

Also, Walmart and Amazon are your best bets for diapers, IMO.

These are great, too! DS loves his. Even if they have one get another. I learned that the hard way when his was in the washing machine.

Target was my brother's go to place for diapers, because they usually had sales + coupons. I got my newborn niece this set of soft blocks for Christmas, one was awesome if you pulled on the tab it vibrated. My brother thanked me for that when the vibrating chair broke on them

Don't get too many newborn diapers! I was going to grab a giant pack at costco to help out my sister when my cousin stopped me and told me to buy a larger size. For her babies she used newborn diapers for maybe a week or two and had a bunch left over.

Yeah that's why I'm just sending a gift card. What if the baby is huge? This way they can buy whatever they feel like they need.
