Ds broke his crib I was so so so not planning on moving him out of his crib until we moved, he's so content in there! He's in ydds crib for now as dh and I were so sick last night we weren't up for transitioning him yet. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with him

Oh that stinks Wyatt moved out of his crib right before 2 (like 22mos, ish) and I did it kicking and screaming because I caught him on the video monitor climbing it. We had no intention of moving him out until after we had gotten into the new house three months later and in the mean time (and because DH was gone and I was in the first trimester with Emmett), he slept on his mattress on the floor. It worked really well for the transition since if he rolled off, he was only going six inches

I wish Ada would transition already. She gets up continuously throughout the night so we have to keep her in a baby bed. Poor Asa is sleeping in the pack and play.

Have you tried her in a big kid bed yet? We thought, for sure, Wyatt was going to have issues with a bed (or in his case at the beginning a mattress on the floor) but he went from still waking up a couple times a night in the crib to sleeping all the way through once in his own bed. We figured the same thing when we transitioned him to a bunk bed, too, when one here was for sale and it was too cheap to pass up because of it being solid wood AND having stairs with drawers rather than a ladder and he's perfect in it.

Floor bed! I love the idea behind floor beds.
