    Breastfeeding; ALWAYS hungry

    Advertisements
I'm breastfeeding Nolan and I am hungry & thirsty 24/7. I'm a bottomless pit! My weight is fine, I'm almost pre-pregnancy weight but I'm insatiable. Did anyone else go through this?

very normal. When your LO nurses as much as newborns/infants do, you need to replenish all the nutrients/calories they're taking from you by nursing. The hungrier DS was, the hungrier I was

Yep! You have a growing kiddo literally sucking calories out of you. Totally normal.

This is happening with me and I'm barely pregnant.. I eat more in 4 hours than I usually ate in a day before I got preggers! I am so excited that I can look forward to being hungry constantly AFTER he/she is born *sarcasm*

OMG, yes!! When he nurses hourly it exhausts me & makes me hungry!

I ate a can of mandarin oranges & a can of peaches, then drank all the juice one night

It's worth it! So far it hasn't affected my weight if you're worried about that. It is kind of annoying to always be hungry though!

it shouldnt affect your weight though because your baby is literally working those extra calories right out of you by nursing. Thats why many doctors don't recommend dieting if you're an active nurser.

Is it weird I am kinda looking forward to this? Getting to eat ALL THE TIME and still get to pre-pregnancy weight? Sign me up! I expect to be exhausted either way.

I'll need a couple of nursing pillows so I can attach a baby to each boob and leave my hands free for cheeseburgers and tacos!
