    Where do you keep bottles?

    Advertisements
We have about 9 weeks to go and our shower is this weekend, I know we'll be getting more bottles and I have some now. It occurred to me that I have no idea where to put them A friend of mine keeps hers out on her 'grass' drying rack but we have 4 very ill mannered kitties that walk on counters...
Would a basket with a lid be practical??

I'm not super organized by any means but I'd like to have some idea of what to do with this stuff after the shower! I'd rather get it in order for the baby now....

I was just talking to DH the other night when we washed and folded baby boys clothes about where we're going to put the bottles.. I don't have enough cabinet space!

Thats our problem! I feel like they'll be used enough that maybe a container makes more sense! I could leave them upside down on a rack and keep the nipples and tops in a cabinet...maybe....??

We only had a few but we got one of those small, plastic, breathable tubs and we made space on the cabinet for that. It later became the sippy cup/plastic plate/utensils holder, as well.

With ODD, I just kept them on the counter on the drying rack. Then we moved to a new house and I had cabinet space for sippy cups.

YDD, I bought a little 3 shelf cabinet just for her stuff. This house has limited cabinet and pantry space. So I didn't just need somewhere to put her bottles, but also formula, baby food/snacks, bibs, teethers, and baby bowls. She's transitioned to straw cups; I put those in the cabinet in place of the bottles now.

what about maybe shelving on the wall above where the cats can get? maybe one with like dowels sticking up to put the bottle upside down on so they cant fall as easily and then like a bucket for the nipple...

That is what DH suggested! I think that's probably the easiest thing to do.

I can not believe we're having a baby

I've read this title like four times today and every single time I think it's about liquor bottles.....I don't have babies or cats so I'm not much use. I do use a baby bottle sterilizer to clean my nebulizers (Tricare sent it to me in the mail and I was SUPER confused when it arrived, since I have no baby), which I just keep in the sterilizer with the lid slightly ajar (to let moisture out). Do you have one of those that they could sit in until use?
